	Tara lives in Port Townsend with her husband, son and three cats. They recently built their own house and are busy feathering the nest. Tara is an avid amateur gardener, film buff, as well as knitter.

Ron is a native of the area. He was born and raised here on the family farm in Chimacum. Ron has been working for Sunshine Propane first as a lead install technician and currently as the project planner/estimator since 1996. In 1998 he became one of the owners. His experience in the propane business and his desire to excel is a great contribution to our image as a full service company. Ron enjoys working on his family farm as well as spending time with his wife, three daughters and a son.

Richard transplanted himself from the east coast to Seattle in 1975. Earning a degree in Forestry Science at the University of Washington, he worked as a researcher for the DNR before moving to Port Townsend and a job running a Youth Corp program at Fort Worden. When funding ran out, he did a stint as a VISTA volunteer, all the time working and restoring vintage German motorcycles. Interested and experimenting in solar and wind power, he was eventually drawn towards Sunshine Propane and its various solar installations in 1989. Excited by everything technical, Richard has found his niche planning and installing radiant floor systems. He has grown into an expert boiler repair technician and has seen the technology flourish during his career.

Michael Ewing's interest in things technical began with his penchant for building electronic kits as a teenager. He completed four years in the U.S. Air Force as a Radar Technician during the Vietnam War. He relocated to the Northwest in mid 70's to pursue his interest in boat building. His involvement in employee owned Cooperatives was sparked by a ten-year stint with a local forest worker Cooperative. Mike joined Sunshine Propane as a technician in 1993, and became an owner shortly thereafter. Mike is one of our most experienced service technician, who takes pride in being part of the Sunshine Team!

Hi, I’m Ron Flanders and I started at Sunshine Propane in October ’07. I am a native of the Olympic Peninsula having graduated from Sequim in 1976. I grew up working in a store called Jim’s Appliance and have been in the retail business through my working career. I started installing hearth products in 1983 and enjoy the installations as each one is different. I have two grown daughters who live in Seattle and in my spare time I enjoy going to NASCAR races or working on my property.

David started working with Sunshine Propane in November 1994. He has been one of the employee/owners since June 1995. He lives in Sequim with his loving wife Cheri and their two sons David and Robert. David enjoys spending time with his family camping, fishing and hiking on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. He also enjoys the various challenges his position as a field tech offers.

Everyday brings a opportunity to install, maintain, repair equipment or other challenging tasks. And in doing so, he leaves his customers happy, warm and comfortable. Probably the best part of his job are the people he meets and the different places he travels to.

A former US Marine during the Vietnam era, raised in Massachusetts , Rick moved to the mountains of California to attend college where he received his Forestry degree. In 1988, he moved to the Great Northwest and worked as a Regional Manager for a large commercial landscape company in the Seattle area. An avid outdoor photographer, he developed PixtureYou.com, his own online home base photography business in which he is actively involved. Since moving to the Quimper Peninsula in 2005, and looking for local employment, he landed at Sunshine Propane where the people here are really a "home" team. Concerned for quality and service, he assures the field technicians are well equipped to service all of our customers’ needs With an upbeat personality and great customer relations, Rick in the warehouse has proven to be an important asset to our team.

I started with Sunshine Propane in 2000. In the summer my wife and I work and play in Stanely Idaho, gateway to the Sawtooth Mountains. I return in the fall and the world of propane and enjoy working on a variety of equipment in different locations so the work stays interesting. I also enjoy the outdoors and playing music every chance I get.

Andrew moved to Port Ludlow with his family in 2005 after working in Dutch Harbor, Alaska . While in Dutch Harbor, Andy was Operation Manager for a large shipping and cold storage company. Andy moved to the Northwest to give his family a warmer and more stable living environment. Andy proudly joined Sunshine Propane in 2005 as a route driver and soon became Lead Driver and is taking over the fuel management responsibilities. His professionalism and good nature are a valuable asset to the company.

Lorna grew up in New Mexico , attended the university of New Mexico for two years and moved to Port Townsend in 1974. She is married to Levi and has two wonderful kids, Alia and Evan. She enjoys working in her garden and is an active member of the master gardener foundation. As Office Administrator, she is in charge of customer files.

Born and raised in St. Joseph , Michigan, Lila attended MSU for 2 1/2 years. She then worked a variety of jobs at several locations around the U.S. , including gardening, baking, and candlestick making. She moved to Port Townsend in 1990 and stayed to raise her family with her husband, Poco. She began work at Sunshine Propane in 1996, and now does much of the purchasing, as well as helping customers at the dispenser and parts counter.

Laura has been in Port Townsend since 1983. She began looking for a new place that she call “home”, after having lived in other parts of the U.S. Her criteria; clean air and less traffic congestion. When she found Port Townsend, she decided she had found paradise. Except for her older sister, who already was in Seattle , the rest of her family and two close friends decided to follow suit. Laura enjoys the natural environment and the wonderful friends and acquaintances she has made and after all this time, she still thinks she’s in paradise. She has been with us since 1994, and became one of the owners in 1999. Laura’s motto is "We are committed to serving our customers like they were our family".

Robert moved to Port Townsend in 1973 and has been with Sunshine Propane since almost the beginning, in 1980. He has a long-standing interest in cooperative businesses, and helped shepherd Sunshine Propane in the transition to a worker cooperative. Robert is the Chief Financial Officer at Sunshine Propane. In his spare time, he volunteers in the public school and supports his children’s interests in sports and academics.
